Movies Watched -- Repo Man (1984)

96 minute running time … this was a weird one, but weird in a good way, wonderfully weird, must be a “cult classic” … I enjoyed its early 80s vibe, goofy story, and heavy-on-punk-rock soundtrack. This is a green-go.

Ebert correctly wrote: “‘Repo Man’ comes out of left field, has no big stars, didn't cost much, takes chances, dares to be unconventional, is funny, and works.”

Linda Diaz with “Green Tea Ice Cream” … great stuff, beautiful voice and there’s something special about her person, makes me hopeful for America with young people like her around:

139 minute running time so 40 to 50 minutes too long … a W.D.By movie, probably a trust fund kid, this was just crap. I gave it 20 minutes and went to fast forward. It’s like someone really dumb is trying to make a David Lymch movie. Who finances this garbage and how does it end up being in my queue?!? (which means someone recommended it) … tell the truth, call it crap, one star, don’t waste your time.

The first thing I ever masturbated to was probably a rerun of Charles in Charge.

Movies Watched -- Mother (2009)

In Korean. 129 minute running time so at least half an hour too long. Wasn’t interested. Retarded Korean kid and his mother … he’s accused of murder but of course didn’t do it and his mother seeks justice for him .. I didn’t like anything about this and it was so so long. One star. Miss it.

Korea is messed up

Movies Watched -- The Breakfast Club (1985)

92 minute running time but felt like an eternity … who wants to see obnoxious Judd Nelson and these other kids stuck in detention for a day? … Ally Sheedy is kind of cute, but not when she’s playing a psycho … hated this, no idea why it’s considered seminal (like Fast Times truly was). One star. Give it a miss.

Paul Attanasio gets it right, including: “Taking place almost entirely in one room, ‘The Breakfast Club’ is the kind of movie -- and the kind of play -- that's hardly seen anymore. And good riddance.“

Sequential Rear Turn Signals for the Me-adder

Added on by C. Maoxian.

I replaced the bulbs in the rear turn signals of the Me-adder with an LED strip that flashes sequentially … they were made by MX5things … I think it looks pretty neat … the running car sounds like a lawnmower in the video for some reason. :-)
