In French and Tamil. 114 minute running time, so 14 minutes too long but I think I could trim some minutes here and there for a fan edit to get it closer to the sacred hundred minute mark, but … I enjoyed this movie a lot. You’ll recall I loved Audiards’ Un Prophete, but was disappointed with several other movies of his that I watched after that one (The Sisters Brothers, The Beat That My Heart Skipped) … Dheepan is good, however … the key is an interesting story combined with great acting … the story of life in French “council flats” for a refugee from Sri Lanka and his “wife” and “daughter.” (No spoilers) … loved it so much I bought a copy for the permanent collection. Green-go, recommended!
