Turning Off Windows Updates

Thanks to the many readers who offered advice on how to solve my computer problem, as well as the many notes of sympathy and commiseration. Special thanks to Deene for his clear, step-by-step instructions on how to "repair" WinXP. I've put repair in quotes because I'll never really know when the next Blue Screen might appear.

I've turned off the Windows Updates which I believe were at the root of my troubles. I finally have an understanding of the depth of hatred people feel towards Microsoft.

Assume the Chat Room Will Be Open At Usual Time

I should be in the chat today. From now on I won't make a post about the chat time unless I know I won't be there to open it.

Chart of the Day -- 10-Year Treasury Note futures, 15-min. Chart

I know I've said this once or twice before, but good trading is all about managing risk, and I'm obsessive about minimizing my initial risk. Amateurs obsess about rewards and professionals obsess about risk.

Dire Computer Problems: shell32.dll is possibly corrupt

My desktop won't boot anymore, so expect me to be fairly scarce until I get this fixed.
