Computer ProblemsEver since I installed these Updates this morning my desktop has been crashing at random. I get a blue screen with a STOP: 0X0000008E ... it's ugly. I tried to restore WinXP to an earlier date but the crashes continue, so I think the damage is done. Maybe there's a conflict with the BT Voyager USB ADSL Modem, but that's just a guess. What a pain.

Chart of the Day -- Ixia, Daily ChartSimilar to my Failed Breakout Scan of the other day, my new scan looks for stocks that make a new 20 day high and reverse the same day. XXIA "broke out" to a new high yesterday morning but ran into vicious selling in the afternoon, resulting in an outside reversal bar on the daily. We have to assume that folks who bought the "breakout" and who didn't stop out are now trapped, and desperate to sell. It's worth keeping a lazy eye on.

If the Adviser Says He Has the Keys to the Kingdom, Walk Away FastThe Five Don'ts, by David Dreman:
"Advocates of teams argue that a star manager can be run over by a truck and a group can carry on after any mishap. Well, that thinking
may make sense for football, baseball and basketball squads. The correct game analogy for investing, however, is chess. Decisions must be
made quickly by analyzing large amounts of complex, contradictory or sometimes incorrect information. A star is going to do this job better than a team."
