Ameritrade CEO optimistic on the future, by Nick Olivari:
"... Moglia said the firm could process as few as 29,000 trades a day and still make money ... of the 14 deals done in the online brokerage sector over the
last two and a half years, Ameritrade has completed half of them ... 'I don't believe somebody leaves your shop because they can get a trade a dollar cheaper,' said Moglia.
'They go because they are disappointed with the service.'"

Here's an example off the 15-minute Nasdaq 100 futures chart which shows why countertrend trading is generally a bad idea. Sure the wedge looks great, the Test of Top is "obvious," but anyone who tried to fade the NQ last Friday would have had his ass handed to him.
