The coil scanner picked up UTX. United Technologies is pausing here near a recent high, so it might be forming a Test of Top.

Some Stocks Are Cheap, by David Dreman:
"If the stock market makes you uneasy and you must be in fixed-income investments, at least keep your maturities very short.
Long bonds are not the place to be while prices are rising. We witnessed a bond bear market in the spring, when long Treasurys
dropped as much as 12.4% in price in the space of less than two months beginning in mid-March. Another collapse is all but
certain. Go short [duration, he means], even if that means accepting a negative return after inflation and taxes."

Olympics: Add drugs, remove jingoism, by Doug Casey:
"Personally, I like to support the athletes that I find most appealing, regardless of what government's passport they
have in their pockets. It's disgusting that the games are so often used as an opportunity to rally the masses in jingoism."

China to Let Individuals Trade in Gold. The Chinese do love gold, and anyone who has looked at my chart of the China Nationalist Yuan in the 1930's and 1940's will understand why. Posted at 9:53, GMT
A little at a time adds up, by Tricia Duryee:
"Founded in 1996, [ShareBuilder] started out like other first-generation Internet ventures that struggled to figure out how
to make money. After reinventing itself more than six years ago, it seems to have found a formula that works, enabling
it to join Seattle's community of surviving dot-coms ... ShareBuilder reached a milestone this year when it exceeded
1 million accounts ... besides ShareBuilder, three companies of note provide
dollar-based investing: Portfolio Builder,
BUYandHOLD and MyStockFund."
Nice article, Tricia. But why no mention of FOLIOfn? Posted at 9:43, GMT
Readers who pay attention to my daily coil picks will appreciate this 30-minute chart of silver. See the range contraction that started after the 30th? When price broke last Friday morning, traders who were paying close attention knew that range expansion was in the cards. See the lovely doji inside bar last Friday? (It's blue and marked with a "D"). Getting short beneath that bar with a stop just above would have been great -- with around 3 cents of initial risk, it turned into a huge reward to risk winner. I didn't catch this one, but I'm sure some Dummies did.
