You may have noticed the little XML link I've added in the sidebar. I don't really know what I'm doing with the XML, but I'm experimenting with it and hope to make it workable in coming days. The problem with learning this stuff is that coders can't write and writers can't code, so it's slow going.

Apparently there are two different sets of tags you can use, two different "standards" I suppose, Atom and RSS. I figured out the Atom tags so that's what I'm using. It's too much of a pain to do both RSS and Atom since I'm doing the tags manually, so I'll just go with Atom for now.

If you are using a newsreader (I use FeedDemon which is quite nifty) then you can use the http://www.maoxian.com/atom.xml link to add this site (I think).

NVEC set up nicely for the home team as you can see. The Chairman is actually busy fading various junk, and was deeply disappointed not to find any shares of TZOO available to short this morning. The broad tone is very positive though, so playing the short side here requires a lot of experience (i.e. stupidity).

That's my new Unusual Suspects table below... at the end of this month I plan to phase out the rather clunky page I now keep and replace it with this, which is slightly less clunky and has a little more information.

The coil scanner picked up ATH again. There's a pretty impressive bit of range contraction in Anthem. You may recall that the last time I featured ATH as the Freebie pick it broke about 5% in short order (no pun intended).

King Kong debt meets middle-class life, by Stacy Teicher:

"... overspending is largely a matter of personal choice, but many observers say an increasingly materialistic culture conspires against people's desire or ability to act wisely."

Oh gimme a break... whatever happened to personal responsibility? I don't know anyone who carries a balance on his credit card.

Fuzzy logicians the world over continue to watch Hourly Crude for the first signs of reversal in this market. It's been nearly seven weeks without a single reversal bar -- an unusually strong move. The number of crude oil futures contracts held by "traders" is more than twice the average for the past 10 years -- this makes us nervous... speculators tend to dogpile in and out.
