The CAKE short (shortcake) worked out quite well in the end, with a decent reward to risk ratio, especially from the tightened stop. I judged the broad market correctly, found an unusual suspect, waited for a spot to make a move, got short, set a stop, tightened the protective stop down a bit once the initial risk was covered, let the profits run, and bet the right size for this stock. Read through the time-stamped trading diary, study the chart, think about it. Now that the weather is nice here and it's no longer dark 18 hours a day, I plan to take every Friday off so there won't be any posts tomorrow. See you next week!

Mark Cuban has a blog. You may recall that Cuban made $1.7 billion on his sale of broadcast.com to Yahoo! in 1999. His timing is obviously good. Like Howard Jonas at IDT, these scrappy entrepreneurial types knew when to cut and run during the bubble. Posted at 7:41 AM, GMT
