Again, the weird billing cycles make the expenses for the utilities difficult to compare month to month. Note that the air tickets for the late June / early July trip
were purchased in May... presumably Expedia.com captures the float for X amount of time before turning the money over to United Airlines.
Any business that can capture a float (Automatic Data Processing springs to mind) on large amounts for a decent length of time is a goldmine.
