We spent some time in Vermont during our visit to America last week. This is the view from Mt. Philo, looking west across Lake Champlain
toward the Adirondack Mountains. It was a very pretty spot to stop for lunch after a morning hike.
Here's a
shot from the ferry port at Charlotte looking back west toward New York State across Lake Champlain. We didn't just hike in Vermont, we also
visited the Art Museum at Middlebury College where they had an interesting exhibition on a collector named Walter Cerf.
(Later in the week we also went
to the Johnson Museum at Cornell to see an
exhibition of beautiful teapots by a Taiwanese ceramicist named Ah Leon.)
We also dropped by Ben & Jerry's factory in Waterbury to have a look. For those who are not satisfied after eating the free samples
given out at the end of the tour, Ben & Jerry thoughtfully provide a take-away window. God Bless America!
