Consumer Expenditure Survey -- April 2003

A lot of the billing cycles here in England are bizarre, so it's tough to get a precise figure on a monthly basis. The amounts are a little rougher as a result, but at least you can get a general idea about how much it costs to live here. It might be useful to review if you were considering a move to England and wondered what your day-to-day expenses would look like.

I searched the Net for this kind of information before we came here and was frustrated to find that no one reveals his cost of living here, or anywhere else for that matter. There are government statistics you can look at, but it's just not the same as seeing someone's real monthly expenses in detail.
