We spent this past Saturday in Windsor visiting the castle there. The weather was very nice so we also walked around the village
and ate a couple of pasties in the park (Lamb and Mint for me, Pork and Apple for LLP). In the afternoon we went across the bridge to visit Eton.
On our tour at the school we learned it costs a mere £20,000 a year to go there. (Lawrenceville
costs $28,350 a year.) I thought the boys looked like
arrogant, spoiled little pricks (just like the kids at Lawrenceville). Even the 13-year olds knew how to sneer derisively at their American visitors.
Prince Harry was off playing water polo so I didn't get a chance to sock him in the
gut, which I was itching to do... sort of looking to score one for the proles. ;-)
