Chances are good that we will be moving from Chicago to London at the end of the month. This won't just be a short trip,
it's looking like we'll live there for a couple of years at least. We're going to miss Chicago's art museum, public
library, and the great architecture downtown,
but we're also looking forward to having a little more green (trees and grass, not money!) and a little less cold in London.
Here are some charts of how things have been going in England since 1970. (UK Unemployment Rate, UK Consumer Price Index, UK British Pound,
UK 10-year Government Bond Rate, and the UK FT-Actuaries All-Share Total Return Index.) I always like to check out the economic terrain
in advance of making a move.
