Pension Apprehension
(Excerpt from 2000 Enron Annual Report, p.45)
Like most of the explanations in the Notes to Enron's Annual Report, I don't really understand what is going on here with the pension. It looks like they were including the gains in the ESOP accounts to cover part of their pension obligation, which means the pension may now be disastrously underfunded. |
