That's a pretty grim chart above, but I think enough time has passed since the tragedy to take a closer look at the market reaction on the morning of September 11. It appears that there was a lot of confusion about the first crash, but the reaction to the second crash was immediate. As an old trading buddy likes to say: "Fright to Safety!" (playing on the phrase "flight to safety"). Met Jing for some expensive coffee. She is feeling low about not getting a PWC internship. I told her: stiff upper lip! |
