Stock speculation never dies, it just shifts its focus. Gold and silver stocks have been on such a rampage that the public's interest has finally begun to be piqued. And when the public's interest is piqued it's a good bet that the move that interests them has peaked. (Forgive my wordplay).

It's also a sign that the end of a run is close at hand when the self-styled trading gurus -- those one-eyed kings and queens who lead the blind through the wasteland of Internet stock chat -- dare to take long positions in these hot stocks.
